Mulligan

Founded by Dónal Lunny and Micheál Ó Domhnaill, with financial support from Diane Hamilton, Mulligan released many classic traditional music albums, as well as numerous singles, but has issued nothing new for the last fifteen years. There are a few gaps in the list below (printed in red font), some of which might be explained by the odd non-Irish or rock item (listed in light grey).  The LUNA series listed at the end focused on traditional song.

The Mulligan catalogue was acquired in 2008 by Compass Records and so far a limited number of albums has been made available – visit mulliganrecords.com to view or order these. At this stage it is not clear whether the Compass licence for these recordings is worldwide since there are some notable absentees from the catalogue, including The Bothy Band’s debut album and Paul Brady’s Welcome Here Kind Stranger, both of which were at one time licensed to Celtic Music in the UK.

The LP listing below has the following missing items: 016, 048, 049, 054.  One of the gaps is almost certainly an unreleased album by Fred Finn and Peter Horan.
